• Restaurant owner enquiries — name, business name, contact details and message you submit on our owner forms.
• Claim requests — venue, claimant name, contact details and verification information you submit when claiming a listing.
• Newsletter signups — email address, city of interest and the topics you tick.
• Analytics events — anonymous interaction events such as profile views and CTA clicks. We do not store IP addresses or user-agent strings with these events.
• Contact form submissions — the details you provide so we can reply.

How we use information

• Provide and operate the Eatouts platform.
• Respond to enquiries from diners and restaurant owners.
• Process listing creation and listing claim requests.
• Send dining updates and newsletters when you have subscribed.
• Improve site performance, search relevance and editorial content.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information.

• Service providers — hosting, database, email and analytics providers that help us operate the platform, bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
• Restaurant partners — when you submit an enquiry to a specific venue, the relevant details are shared with that venue so they can respond.
• Legal and compliance — where we are required to disclose information by Australian law, court order or other valid legal process.

We use first-party cookies and lightweight analytics to understand how visitors use Eatouts and to keep features like dark mode working. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not work as expected.

Newsletter and unsubscribe

If you sign up for the Eatouts newsletter you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
