Restaurant Terms

Last updated: May 2026

These terms apply to restaurants, cafes, bars and other venues listed on Eatouts, and to the people who manage those listings on behalf of a venue.

This page is platform terms information for restaurant partners. It is general information, not legal advice. For diner-facing terms see /terms.

Venue listing responsibilities

If you list, claim or manage a venue on Eatouts, you confirm that you are authorised to do so on behalf of that venue and that the information you supply is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Accuracy of profile content

  • Menus, prices and dietary information must reflect what is actually offered.
  • Photos must be ones you own or have permission to use.
  • Opening hours, contact details and booking links must be kept up to date.
  • Deal terms, redemption method and expiry dates must be clearly stated.

Claim listing process

To take ownership of an existing listing, submit a claim via /claim-your-restaurant. We verify each claim manually — usually within one business day — to protect venues against unauthorised changes.

Verification and manual approval

We may ask for additional information (for example, a business email or a callback to the venue's listed phone number) before approving a claim or applying significant profile changes.

Premium and featured listings

Eatouts may offer paid features such as featured placement, deal promotion and analytics in future. Where paid features are clearly labelled as 'Featured' or 'Sponsored' on the platform, that label is the disclosure.

Content rights

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content to Eatouts you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform and in related editorial, marketing and search-engine listings while your venue is listed.

Deal terms and expiry

Venues are responsible for the accuracy, terms, availability and expiry of any deal they promote on Eatouts. If a deal changes or ends, please update it promptly so diners aren't disappointed.

Prohibited claims

  • Do not publish misleading menu, dietary, allergen or pricing information.
  • Do not misrepresent ratings, awards or media mentions.
  • Do not promote deals you cannot honour.
  • Do not use copyrighted photos or menus without permission.

Suspension and removal

We may suspend, edit or remove a listing if we reasonably believe content is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, infringing or contrary to these terms. We aim to give the venue a chance to respond first where practical.

No guarantees of business outcomes

Eatouts does not guarantee bookings, foot traffic, revenue, search ranking position or any specific commercial outcome from being listed.

Corrections and contact

Venues can request corrections via /contact or through the claim/owner forms. We aim to action reasonable correction requests within a few business days.

For questions about this policy, contact the Eatouts team via /contact. We aim to respond within two business days.
